Before joining SenSArt in September 2021, she received her PhD in Medieval Art History at the Università degli Studi di Padova (2018). She carried out a period of study abroad at the Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, 2011) and a research stay at the University of Warwick (2017); afterwards, she held a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Università degli Studi di Padova (2018-2019). Also, she obtained the diploma from the Scuola di Archivistica, Paleografia e Diplomatica of the Archivio di Stato di Venezia (2021).

Her previous research focused on the visual, material and socio-cultural production of Venice, the Veneto and other regions in the north Adriatic during the 14th-15th centuries.
