Teresa Martinez
Art Historian | SenSArt Focus on Spain
Before joining SenSArt in January 2024 she completed her PhD in History of Art at the University of Warwick (2023), after obtaining a BA in History of Art (2017) at the University of Salamanca and a MA in Medieval Studies (2018) at the Complutense University of Madrid. She was part of the ERC Advanced Grant Petrifying Wealth hosted at CSIC (Spanish National Research Council) as predoctoral fellow (2018-2021).
Her previous research focused on construction processes and organisation of medieval workshops, highlighting the application of digital methodologies to mason’s marks found in Romanesque buildings of Zamora (North West Iberian peninsula). Her main interest are buildings and spaces, which she currently addresses through the study of sensorial experiences.
